What we DO:

Camp ZOE is a day camp for children ages 4 – 17 who have experienced grief related to the death of a person. This camp is free to the children & families we serve.

Mission Statement:

Camp ZOE is an organization dedicated to serving the needs of children who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

Who we are:

Our directors have 60+ years of combined experience as social workers. They have worked in hospice settings and in those roles have discovered a passion for helping children who are experiencing grief.

Vision Statement

The vision for Camp ZOE is to offer free grief camps for children and their families in underserved communities throughout the country, with the goal of increasing the awareness of grief and strengthening the capacity of the family unit to manage their grief.

What happens at “Grief Camp”

Each camp is catered to the needs of the host community. Scheduling, activities, and content are created through coordination with individuals in the host community. We suggest a format that consists of a “Family Night” on the Friday night prior to camp with “Camp” to be held on Saturday.

Funding for camps is provided through the host community donations. Additionally, the Camp ZOE team is consistently applying for grants that will help to supplement host community donations.

If our community wants to make donations, they can be sent to our partner
Ancora Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.
