  • Hospice Nurse Practitioner

    Nurse Practitioner works with the multidisciplinary team to provide initial and ongoing clinical assessments of patients with terminal, advanced, and/or progressive health conditions. Job is a mix of both home based and facility based geriatric primary care, with emphasis on advance care planning, palliative management of symptoms, and aging in place. Job also includes integration with the hospice team to maintain continuity and performing visits for hospice patients to help meet face to face requirements, and symptom management visits when appropriate.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
    • ANCC or AANP board certified required in both Idaho and/or Oregon.
    • If only licensed in one state, must be willing to obtain license for other state.
    • Must have unencumbered valid license to practice.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year

    As a Hospice On-Call Nurse, you are the heart of our organization after hours—visiting patients in their homes or facilities and ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met with dignity and compassion.

    This role includes:

    • Providing on-call support for urgent patient needs
    • Completing scheduled visits for patients nearing end of life or requiring weekend follow-ups
    • Handling unplanned, emergent visits as they arise
    • Assisting with weekend admissions as referred
    • Collaborating with a supportive team—three field nurses and a triage team will be working alongside you during your shift
    • Oncall hours: Mon-Thur 5pm-8:30am, Fri 5pm-Mon 8:30am. Rotating 7 on 7 off

  • Accounting Manager/Controller

    Job description:

    The Hospice Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hospice organization, ensuring accurate accounting, regulatory compliance, and timely financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in managing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement processes, internal controls, budgeting, audits, and supporting executive leadership with financial insights essential to operational and strategic decision-making.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    Accounting and Reporting:

    • Handle and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and month-end close
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Ensure accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting is accurate and in accordance with GAAP
    • Monitor cash flow, operating margins, and financial performance metrics
    • Conduct timely bookkeeping of the entities
    • Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
    • Conduct year-end closing, reconciliation, etc.
    • Conduct payroll reconciliation Reconcile hospice billing reports to internal reporting and accounting system
    • Track patient room & board (Medicaid)Record Medicare, Medicaid, insurance payments & remittance adjustments and reconcile against EMR reports and bank account
    • Maintain AR aging monthly
    • Provide CPAs with all financials statements and reports needed to timely file tax returns

    Hospice-Specific Reimbursement & Compliance:

    • Oversee Medicare and Medicaid billing reconciliation and revenue recognition
    • Monitor hospice cap calculations, sequestration adjustments, and recapture exposure
    • Collaborate with billing teams to resolve claims, denials, and payment variances. Support cost report preparation and coordinate with external consultants as needed
    • Ensure compliance with CMS, state regulations, and payer requirements

    Budgeting & Forecasting:

    • Prepare budgets, and other financial reports for senior management, as needed. Analyze variances between budgeted and actual results and provide explanations to leadership
    • Support strategic planning initiatives with financial modeling and projections

    Internal Controls & Audits:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal accounting controls
    • Support internal and external audits, including Medicare audits and financial reviews
    • Ensure accurate documentation and audit readiness across all financial processes. Identify and mitigate financial and compliance risks

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
    • Several years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in the healthcare or hospice industry.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Proficient in financial software (QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite).
